Join us for our biggest celebration yet as we kick off our 35th Anniversary Season with Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, November 18th, 2017 in Niagara Parks’ Queen Victoria Park!
Don’t miss it when we celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Niagara’s most cherished winter tradition! To celebrate this milestone season this year’s Opening Ceremonies will feature a trilling performance by NorthFIRE with spectacular pyrotechnics and flame effects from David Whysall Fireworks. NorthFIRE is a high energy show, with beautifully choreographed fire acts that will amaze. Featuring a diverse set of highly skilled variety circus performers and featuring fire hoops, poi, staff, swords and acrobatics. Let NorthFIRE turn sparks into magic, before your very eyes!
Admission to the Opening Ceremonies is completely free!
Bring the whole family to see the stunning entertainment show as well as more than two million lights that make up our 8km long illumination route.
Opening night of the Winter Festival of Lights will also feature two explosive fireworks shows over the illuminated Falls taking place at the conclusion of each of the Opening Ceremonies stage shows. Saturday, November 18th, 2017 will also be your first chance to see our illuminations and light shows this winter. After the show in Queen Victoria Park be sure to take a walk or tour our Illumination Route to enjoy the millions of lights.
