[ Back to Media ] Meridian Credit Union Invites Niagara Region to Skate at the Brink of the Falls Food & Cash Donations Being Collected for Niagara Region’s Food Banks Olympic Torch Appearance from 6pm – 7pm Niagara Falls, ON – The Winter Festival of Lights (WFOL) and Meridian Credit Union are proud to announce February’s Free SK8 Date at the Rink at the Brink will take place February 8th. On that day, residents of the Niagara Region may enjoy skating along with complimentary skate rental and parking within the Falls Parking lot. Proof of residency must be shown and a food or cash donation to Project S.H.A.R.E., Community Cares or The Hope Center is being requested. Additionally, Mayor Ted Salci will be in attendance from 6pm to 7pm with the Olympic Torch. Located across from Table Rock Centre along the Niagara Parkway, the Rink at the Brink is a captivating experience – skating just steps away from one of the most magnificent natural attractions in the world – while offering breathtaking views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls. Open daily (10:00 am - 10:00 pm) it provides recreational ice skating, skate, helmet and locker rentals, as well as skating lessons for groups and individuals. It also hosts special functions such as corporate holiday parties, birthdays and group outings. “Through Meridian’s Good Neighbour Program, we are excited to be the title sponsor of the Free Sk8 Dates.
