Niagara’s Retirement Home Residents to Enjoy Spring in Bloom Concerts 2008-04-30 - Niagara Falls, ON – The Winter Festival of Lights is pleased to announce that residents of Niagara-area retirement homes will be attending the Spring in Bloom Concerts featuring award-winning musical artists, Mickey Gilley and The Lettermen thanks to a generous contribution from Gales Gas Bars. The contribution will provide retirement home residents living in Niagara Falls, St. Catharines, Fort Erie, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Welland, Thorold, Port Colborne, Beamsville, Vineland, Virgil and Grimsby with a ticket to a performance by either Mickey Gilley or The Lettermen.

Winter Festival of Lights Honoured with Misty Award for Progressive Development 2008-04-11 - Niagara Falls, ON – The Winter Festival of Lights was among those honoured last night at the 41st Annual Niagara Falls Tourism Misty Awards where it won the prestigious Misty Award for Progressive Development, which is presented to an individual and/or establishment that have contributed to the advancement of tourism in Niagara Falls through change or innovation in products and services.
