In Dufferin Islands, also known as The Great Canadian Outdoors, visitors will be awed by displays of Canadian wildlife – both modern and prehistoric – that include moose and buffalo, howling wolves, charging rams, bears, beavers, whales, deer, and dinosaurs that roamed the land millions of years ago. An absolutely wonderful visual experience, it also includes displays of aboriginal life as well as the popular Noah’s Ark display. Did you notice – the animals walking off Noah’s Ark are indigenous to Canada?

There is no fee to view the illuminations but donations are gratefully accepted by Festival Ambassadors at the exit of Dufferin Islands (suggested contribution $5 – $10 per car; bus groups $1/person), with proceeds used to enhance the Festival’s lights and displays.

A special treat this year are Friday and Saturday night visits (5:30 – 7:30pm) from Santa* until Dec. 21 – then he has to go make final preparations for his big day!

Also, if you tune into 100.5 FM during your drive through Dufferin Islands you will enjoy Christmas music to get you in the festive mood.  We hope you enjoy it!
